About Me

I'm Nat, the creative brains behind The Little Fibre Company.

I create handmade fibre art - woven, knotted and sewn in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Graphic designer by day, fibre and textile artist by night.

The Little Fibre Company has existed since 2020, after falling in love with fibre art images on Pinterest. I’ve always loved textiles, and during the first pandemic lockdown I needed something to fill my time and to keep my mind, hands and heart busy.

I’ve learnt a huge amount in my fibre art journey so far and that’s what I love about what I do.

There is no wrong or right way of creating a piece - only creativity.

All of my pieces are made as one of a kind. No ‘duplicate’ would turn out the same way.

I carefully choose the fibre supplies I use to make sure the right colour, texture and identity is given to each piece I make. I try to be as sustainable as possible; by buying from small businesses or suppliers too. I even spin my own art yarn from the scraps to use every last fibre up!

I live with my fiancé Cadel, who is also a graphic designer running his own branding business from our home office. We like going for walks and spending our spare time doing DIY on our home to make it even more cosy!
